Ryan Corr is an Australian actor who was born on the 15th of January, 1989 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Corr is best known for his roles in the Australian drama series Packed to the Rafters (from 2009-2013) and Love Child (2014), along with film roles such as Paul Hammersmith in the 2013 Australian horror film Wolf Creek 2, Arthur Connor in Russell Crowe’s 2014 drama film The Water Diviner, and as the lead role in the Australian LGBT drama Holding the Man (2015), adapted from Timothy Conigrave's 1995 memoir of the same name.

Corr began his acting career at the age of thirteen in the supporting role of Matthew McDougal in Channel Nine’s The Sleepover Club (2003), which was adapted from the novel series of the same name. He then scored a lead role as Sheng Zamett on Seven Network’s teen science-fiction series Silversun (2004). Soon after, Corr had many guest appearances on Australian shows such as Scooter: Secret Agent (2005), Blue Heelers (2005) and the long-running soap opera Neighbours (2006). In 2006, the second series of Blue Water High aired on Australian TV in which he played a lead role. Then in 2009, he graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and was cast as a series regular on the popular Australian drama/comedy series Packed to the Rafters, playing the role of Coby Jennings for it’s six-season run, ending in 2013. After finishing production of Packed to the Rafters, Corr then starred in Australian Outback-set horror sequel Wolf Creek 2, opposite actor John Jarrat, and then portrayed one of Russell Crowe’s sons in the 2014 drama film The Water Diviner, which was Crowe’s directorial debut. Also in 2014, he co-starred in the first series of Channel Nine’s medical drama series Love Child before starring as the lead role in the true story of Holding the Man (2015), an LGBT drama adapted from Timothy Conigrave’s memoir before his untimely death from the AIDS pandemic. Following this, Corr co-starred in the first season of ABC Australia’s drama series Cleverman (2016), and then went on to play a supporting role in Mel Gibson’s biographical war film Hacksaw Ridge (2016), which was led by Andrew Garfield. The film received six Oscar nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for Garfield. Other recent credits in both film and television include, the 2018 Australian comedy/drama film Ladies In Black, the 2018 Rooney Mara-led biblical drama film Mary Magdalene, two of Stan Network’s 2019 drama series Bloom and The Commons, the 2020 Australian Aboriginal drama film High Ground, and both seasons of Network Ten’s psychological thriller series The Secrets She Keeps (2020-2022). Corr will next be co-starring as Harwin Strong in HBO’s highly-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, set to premiere in August of 2022.
